It was a big day for Jonas on September 11th, when he received his first ever SOCAN award for “Je Crie Ton Nom” (the French version of “Tidal Wave”) hitting # 1 on the BDS Top 100 charts.
Jonas co-wrote “Tidal Wave” with Simon Wilcox, Justin Gray, Mark Holman and Marti Frederiksen and the song was adapted into French by Nelson Minville. Big Slice Records was also honoured as the publisher for Jonas.
To add to the excitement, the duet he sang with Marie Mai “Jamais trop tard”, also received a # 1 award.
